K5K is the first programme being advanced through the Equitable Oncology Model, bringing together scientific innovation, funding and collaborative partnerships to help improve patient access to cancer treatment.

K5K
Developed by KodeRx Limited, K5K is an innovative cancer immunotherapy designed to harness the body's own immune system to recognise and respond to cancer.
Alongside scientific innovation, K5K has been designed to address practical barriers that can limit access to advanced cancer treatment, including cost, the need for refrigerated storage and transport, and reliance on major specialist treatment centres.
K5K has a target treatment cost of USD $5,000 or less per treatment course, simplified administration, ambient-temperature stability above 40°C and scalable manufacturing.
K5K works by stimulating an anti-cancer immune response within the tumour, with the aim of helping the immune system recognise, respond to and attack cancer cells.
The science behind K5K can be understood through three steps.
TAG: K5K is injected directly into the tumour and tags cancer cells with immune-stimulating markers.
ALARM: Immune cells are recruited to the K5K-decorated tumour.
ATTACK: The activated immune system attacks the primary and distal tumours via a broad immune response to tumour-associated markers.
K5K:
third-generation KIE technology
K5K is a third-generation cancer immunotherapy developed using the Kode Immuno-Educer (KIE) technology platform, which has evolved through more than three decades of scientific research and innovation.
The programme builds on human clinical experience with AGI-134, a second-generation KIE evaluated in a Phase 1/2a human clinical study, which provided encouraging clinical evidence supporting further development of the KIE technology.
Kv9 uses the same molecule as K5K and is being evaluated in veterinary oncology, with preliminary anti-tumour responses observed across multiple tumour types. This provides translational evidence relevant to the K5K human programme.
Together, this provides an established scientific foundation for K5K.
