Terms of Use
Welcome
Welcome to the Equitable Oncology website. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website.
Purpose of This Website
This website has been developed to provide information about Equitable Oncology, our charitable purpose, programmes, partnerships and opportunities to support our work.
The information provided is intended for general information only and should not be relied upon as medical, legal, financial or professional advice.
Accuracy of Information
We make every reasonable effort to ensure the information on this website is accurate and up to date. However, scientific knowledge, organisational activities and website content may change over time. Equitable Oncology does not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current or free from error.
Medical Information
The information provided on this website is intended to improve understanding of Equitable Oncology and the programmes we support. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as medical advice, a recommendation for treatment or a substitute for professional healthcare.
Equitable Oncology is a funding and access organisation, not a treatment provider. We do not provide medical treatment, and this website should never be relied upon to access treatment directly. If you have questions about your health or medical treatment, you should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including text, graphics, images, logos and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Equitable Oncology Limited.
Some content relates to technology, programmes or intellectual property owned by independently governed organisations — including K5K and the underlying Kode Immuno-Educer (KIE) technology platform, which are owned and developed by KodeRx and Kode Biotech Limited respectively, not by Equitable Oncology. References to this technology on our website are for informational purposes about the programmes we fund; they do not transfer or imply any ownership by Equitable Oncology.
Content may be viewed, downloaded and shared for personal, educational or non-commercial purposes provided it remains unaltered and appropriate acknowledgement is given. Any other use requires the prior written permission of Equitable Oncology (or, for third-party content described above, the relevant rights holder).
Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience or to provide additional information. Equitable Oncology is not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.
Donations
Donations made through this website are processed using secure third-party payment services. Equitable Oncology does not store or process payment card information directly.
Donation receipts and tax credits: Equitable Oncology is a registered New Zealand charity (Charities Services registration CC64930). We are in the process of confirming "donee organisation" status with Inland Revenue — the status required for donations to qualify New Zealand tax-resident individual donors for the standard 33.33% donation tax credit. Once that status is confirmed, we will issue receipts enabling donors to claim this credit with IRD directly. In the meantime, we issue a receipt for every donation for your own records.
Recurring donations can be cancelled at any time by contacting us at info@equitableoncology.com. Donations are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where a payment was made in error — please contact us promptly if you believe this has occurred.
Accessibility
We are committed to making our website accessible, inclusive and easy to use for as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this website, please contact us at info@equitableoncology.com and we will work to address it.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Equitable Oncology is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of this website or reliance on the information it contains.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute arising from your use of this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
Complaints and Disputes
If you have a concern about your experience with our website or our organisation, please contact us at info@equitableoncology.com in the first instance. We will do our best to resolve any issue promptly and fairly.
